The George Gagel Truck Farm is family owned and operated. Located in southwest Louisville, Kentucky, we specialize in greenhouse-growing roughly 5 million annual bedding plants along with our gorgeous hanging baskets, enormous Boston Ferns, houseplants, vegetable plants, herb plants, perennial plants, Knockout Roses, and other nursery stock.
Another specialty crop that we grow in the greenhouse which is available for purchase November through May is Kentucky Limestone Bibb Lettuce from our own stock of heirloom seed. We'll cut it fresh when you come in or call ahead with your order & it will be ready when you get here.
With 8 acres of outside production area, Gagel's farm-fresh nutritious and delicious vegetables
are grown in the rich soil that has been nurtured for more than a century and they are available
from May through November depending on the weather.
