A family farm for more than 100 years, Gagel's started as a traditional truck farm located on Greenwood Road, growing vegetables to be taken to market first by horse-drawn wagon and later, by truck.
Gagel's once shipped vegetables as far away as Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Chicago.Over time, the farm's focus has shifted more towards floriculture. Located on 11.5 acres in southwest Jefferson County, Gagel's growing and retail facility is comprised of 20 joined greenhouses that form the main range with an additional 17 "stand alone" houses for a total of close to 100,000 sq ft of production space. 
Our seeding and cutting propagation facilities (left) utilize state of the art water automation, fertilization, and both heat and light manipulation. Gagels produces roughly
5 million bedding plants annually.We still retain our traditional farming roots by growing field kale, yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, and Kentucky Limestone Bibb Lettuce.
To get to Gagel's, take the Watterson Expressway (I-264) to exit 8A (31W south or Dixie Highway South).
Go 8 stoplights. Look for a Golden Corral and Pizza Hut on the right. Turn right between the Pizza Hut and the Toyota dealership onto Lower Hunters Trace.
Go aproximately 1 mile and Gagel's is on your left.
